A Connecticut man will spend decades behind bars for a deadly shooting that left one person dead and another seriously hurt in a New Haven neighborhood.
Treyvon Battle, 35, of Hamden, was sentenced to serve 80 years in prison on Wednesday, April 22, the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice said.
A jury found Battle guilty of murder, first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm, and carrying a pistol without a permit in January.

Cops said Richard Carter, a 49-year-old Valley Stream man, stepped outside after the service ended at the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York on Friday, April 10, according to WCBS.
