3 Injured In Route 31 Motorcycle-suv Crash: Njsp Three people were injured after a motorcycle collided with an SUV on Route 31 in Hunterdon County Wednesday, Oct. 7, authorities said. At 11:51 a.m., a Harley-Davidson motorcycle struck the back and passenger side of a Subaru SUV on Route 31 north in Hampton Borough, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver and passenger of the Harley-Davidson and driver of the Subaru all sustained minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital, Marchan said. The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.

At 7:24 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, officers responded to the Black Horse Pike and Bayport Drive when Aimee Altin failed to cross the street safely and was struck by a 2021 Dodge Durango driven by a 26-year-old Pleasantville woman, Egg Harbor Township police said. Altin was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver contacted 911 immediately and cooperated with the investigation, police said. The crash remains under investigation, police said.

Dog Dies After Left In Hot Car, NJ Man Charged: Police A 67-year-old Whiting man was charged with animal cruelty after he left a dog in a hot car, authorities announced Wednesday, Oct. 7. At 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, officers responded to Norwalk Avenue and found a dog dead in the driveway, police said. An investigation determined the dog was left unattended inside a vehicle for an extended period of time under warm weather conditions, Manchester police said. William Bevan was charged with animal cruelty and issued a complaint summons, police said.
