Two men received lengthy prison sentences on Friday, April 4, after being convicted of murdering a 15-year-old during a 2022 robbery in Vineland, authorities said.
Deshawn Bowen, a 25-year-old Bridgeton resident and Rohdane Watson, a 20-year-old Vineland resident, were previously convicted of felony murder, aggravated manslaughter and robbery in February, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said. Bowen was sentenced to 60 years in prison while Watson was sentenced to 50 years in prison, Webb-McRae said.

Girl, 16, Caught With Loaded Gun During Traffic Stop In Watervliet, Police Say
A routine traffic stop in the Capital Region ended with a 16-year-old girl in handcuffs on weapons charges.
Watervliet Police stopped a vehicle at around 5 p.m. Sunday, March 23. During the investigation, the officer determined that the 16-year-old girl driving did not have a valid driver’s license.
The officer then discovered a loaded, illegally-possessed 22 caliber handgun protruding from the waistband of a 16-year-old girl in the passenger’s seat, police said.
