A suspect has been apprehended after a string of bank robberies and attempted robberies on Long Island that started in early January.
At about 1:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, the suspect, identified as Willian Andrade Jordan, age 31, entered the Bank of America in Baldwin, at 2300 Grand Ave., approached a teller, passed a note threatening a gun and a knife and demanded three thousand dollars, Nassau County Police said.
The 29-year-old female victim walked away from her station and Jordan fled the scene on foot without receiving any proceeds, according to police. No injuries were reported. …

A would-be bank robber who walked out of a Hackensack TD branch empty-handed ended up with bracelets instead, authorities said.
City resident Roderick Troy Smith, 32, was nabbed by Hackensack police detectives and FBI agents who spotted him on Anderson Street on Tuesday, Feb. 7, Capt. Michael Antista said on Thursday.

A 54-year-old man was charged after police reported that he robbed a bank on Long Island.
The robbery happened at TD Bank, located at 500 Old Country Road in Plainview, at about 2:45 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 28, the Nassau County Police Department said.
NCPD said Dean Marneris, of Wantagh, approached a teller and demanded money.
