Woman, 60, Struck By Teen Driver, Critically Injured In Wantagh: Police A 60-year-old woman was critically injured after being struck by a teenage driver in Wantagh, Nassau County police announced on Monday, Feb. 10. The woman was attempting to cross Wantagh Avenue eastbound near Laurel Lane when she was hit by a 2015 Honda driven by a 17-year-old girl at 3:38 p.m., detectives said. She suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital by the Wantagh Fire Department, where she remains in critical condition, police said. The teen driver stayed at the scene, and no other injuries were reported. The Homicide Squad is continuing to investigate.

Woman Killed Crossing Glen Cove Street After Being Hit By Ford Van: Police A 69-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a Ford van while crossing a street in Glen Cove, Nassau County police announced. The fatal crash happened on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at 2:07 p.m. on Pratt Boulevard near Pulaski Street, detectives said. The woman was attempting to cross the road when a 2019 Ford van, traveling southwest, hit her, investigators explained. She suffered severe trauma and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead by a hospital physician. The 68-year-old driver of the van remained at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

At 7:28 a.m., officers responded to Rancocas Lane and Weymouth Road for a crash involving a pedestrian, Pemberton police said. The juvenile was struck when the vehicle was attempting to make a left turn on Rancocas Lane, police said. The juvenile sustained an injury to her leg and was transported to Cooper University Medical Center for further treatment, police said. The incident remains under investigation, police said.

Cops ID Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Ewing A 64-year-old Ewing woman was fatally struck by a vehicle on the evening of Saturday, Feb. 1, authorities said.
