&Pizza: Originally opened in Washington, DC in 2011, &Pizza has expanded to Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and Massachusetts. With existing Garden State locations in Jersey City, Paramus and Union, a new store will soon open at 20 Rt. 17 N. in East Rutherford, the restaurant’s website says.

'Disgusting': Bergen County Man Dumped At Least 3 Deer Carcasses In Newark, Police Say
A Bergen County man was arrested for repeatedly dumping deer carcasses in Newark, authorities said.
Paul A. Bartella, 60, of North Arlington, is accused of leaving the carcasses in Newark three times across the city since June, Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said.
He was arrested on warrants Wednesday night, after an incident on Verona Avenue near Broadway, police said.
He did the same on Aug. 3 on Chester Avenue and Riverside avenues, and on June 24, on the 200 block of Oraton Street, O'Hara said.

Father, Son Killed, Mom, 66, Critical In North Arlington House Fire
UPDATE: A father and son were killed and the mom rescued in a pre-dawn house fire in North Arlington, authorities said.
Furious CPR efforts on the 75-year-old father and his 44-year-old son on the front lawn of the 9th Street home were fruitless after the three-alarm fire trapped them shortly after 4 a.m. Friday, Police Chief Scott Hedenberg said.
Safwat F. Saad and his son, Maged Saad, were both pronounced dead at the scene, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
