Lindenhurst Creep, 21, Busted For Child Porn, Multiple Phones Seized: Police
A Long Island man was arrested Friday, May 8 for promoting and possessing child porn, police said.
Joseph Stangelo, 21, was detained at his home in Lindenhurst around 7:30 a.m. Friday, the Suffolk County Police Department said.
Cops received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children task force and searched Stangelo’s home, according to authorities. Investigators seized multiple cellphones during the search.
Stangelo was charged with possession and promotion of a sexual performance by a child, police said. His arraignment was scheduled for later Friday.

A Virginia man tried to grab deputies’ tasers, ripped at a radio cord, and bit an officer during a traffic stop that quickly spiraled out of control, authorities said.
The stop happened in Stafford around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, May 3, after a deputy spotted a vehicle with expired tags near Ramoth Church Road and Dog Patch Lane.
What started as a routine stop didn’t stay that way for long.
