As word spread of the death of 6-year-old Emma Splan of Norwalk from flu-related complications on Sunday, the community has responded with sympathy and help for the grieving family. Known as a vibrant young girl who was loved dearly by her parents, Christy Pugh and Dave Splan, Emma was described over and over again as always smiling, laughing and enjoying life. O'Neill Coach, Teacher Killed When Car Crashes Into Pole
James I. O’Neill High School students and school employees are mourning the loss of a favorite teacher and coach who died Monday in an early morning car crash in the Town of Newburgh. Christopher Page, 27, an English teacher at the Highland Falls school for more than three years, was killed driving his 2015 Dodge Charger north on Route 300 around 6:45 a.m., when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck a utility police, according to Town of Newburgh Lt. Wolfpit Mourns Passing Of Special Education Paraprofessional Nancy Denman
NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk school community is mourning the passing of longtime Wolfpit Special Education Paraprofessional Nancy Denman, who died unexpectedly on Saturday. "An integral part of the Wolfpit family, Mrs. Denman truly believed that all students could succeed," Norwalk Public Schools said in a statement.
