Man Who Stabbed Brother-In-Law To Death In Yonkers Apartment Is Convicted
A man has been convicted of murder in the fatal stabbing of his 78-year-old brother-in-law inside a Westchester County apartment building in 2024, prosecutors announced.
John Singh, 55, was found guilty on Friday, June 5, of second-degree murder and first-degree manslaughter in connection with the death of Bernard Barua, 78, of Yonkers, according to Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace.
The conviction stems from a stabbing that happened on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at an apartment building located at 760 Bronx River Rd. in Yonkers.
