A Long Island man is facing criminal charges after an 11-year-old boy was seen carrying a shotgun outside his home, police said. The incident happened in Bayville, at a residence on 7th Street, at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3. Nassau County Police said a 13-year-old boy was riding his bicycle when an 11-year-old boy carrying a shotgun came outside and told the teen to get away from his house. Yale University Police are warning students and residents to be on the lookout for a dark-colored vehicle that fired a BB gun twice at members of the college community. The incidents occurred in New Haven around 12:15 and 12:25 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25, in the area of Crown and High Streets and Broadway and Elm Street. A 37-year-old Hawthorne man was found lying on the side of the same Glen Rock road twice, just over 24 hours later, highly-intoxicated each time, police said. A child who accidentally set a fire inside a Cecil County shed caused thousands of dollars in damage to his family's home, officials say. Late in the afternoon on Friday, Aug. 16, crews from the Singerly Fire Company responded to a home on Hollingsworth Manor in Elkton, where a homeowner reported that their tarp-covered shed was on fire. A Maryland man who stashed kilos of cocaine in the woods will spend more than a decade in prison, the St. Mary's County State's Attorney's Office announced on Monday night. Police in Holbrook are investigating a triple stabbing that happened early Saturday morning, July 13.
