A man is accused of sexually abusing a child inside a Sephora store in Garden City, Nassau County police announced on Wednesday, June 18. Riken Acharya, 21, of Carl Avenue in Franklin Square, allegedly inappropriately touched an 11-year-old girl inside the Sephora located at 630 Old Country Road around 5:54 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, according to detectives. Police say Acharya fled the store after the assault, but responding officers quickly found him nearby and placed him under arrest without incident. A 52-year-old Cape May County man has been arrested in the sexual assault of a minor, authorities announced. Eric Hazel, of Erma, became the center of an investigation on Monday, June 16, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Middle Township Police Chief Tracey Super said. Trenton Man Sexually Assaulted Child: Prosecutor
A 43-year-old Trenton man was arrested and charged on Friday, June 13 with sexually assaulting a child, authorities said. Irin Green sexually assaulted the child four years ago at a residence in Trenton, Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta Marbrey said. The child and their mother reported the allegations to police earlier this month, Marbrey said. Green is charged with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child, Marbrey said.
