Court filings reveal a history of domestic violence before a Long Island mother of three was poisoned to death by her estranged husband, prosecutors said.
Asif Qureshi, 53, of Bellerose, Queens, was indicted on murder and burglary charges in Nassau County Court Thursday, Jan, 8, in connection with the death of his estranged wife Aleena Asif.
Investigators determined that Qureshi entered Asif’s Herricks home on Larch Drive while she was out dropping her children off at school on Oct. 17, 2025, according to the Nassau County DA’s office.
